Delete Your Account
This page explains how to delete your account and data from any Deep Answer Labs product. It is a permanent, public URL — Google Play requires one, and it should exist regardless.
How to request deletion
Where a product offers in-app deletion, use it: it is immediate and needs no correspondence. Otherwise, email privacy@deepanswerlabs.com from the address on the account, naming the product. We do not require a reason.
If you write from a different address we will ask you to verify ownership of the account — not to obstruct you, but because otherwise anyone could delete anyone's account by email.
Products with accounts
- Zani — see its privacy policy for exactly what is held.
- Eterna — see its privacy policy for exactly what is held.
What gets deleted
- Your account record and authentication identifiers
- Your profile and any settings
- Content you created in the product
- Any uploaded files associated with your account
What is kept, and why
- Records we are legally required to retain — such as transaction records for a paid product, kept for the statutory period required by tax law.
- Aggregate, non-identifying counts (for example "number of active accounts"), which contain nothing that can be traced back to you.
- Content that is inherently shared with another person — for example a message you sent to someone else — where deleting it would remove their copy too. Your identity is unlinked from it.
How long it takes
Deletion from production systems happens within 30 days of a verified request, usually far sooner. Encrypted backups roll off within a further 90 days, after which no copy remains. We email you when the production deletion is complete.
This cannot be undone
There is no recovery window and no archive we can restore from once deletion completes. If you want your data, export it first — write to support and we will help you get it out.
